Q: OK, another question... I can't find anywhere that it says it has a ash bin. How much of a pain is it to clean?

you just need an ash vacuum, clean daily ashes takes about 5 mins at most. so far so good. maintain it and you will love it. also try different pellets, you wouldn't believe how they could differ in ash output. lowes had some that were good and some that were horrible. try different ones before settling on a brand of pellets.
